Within the family of raspberries there are two types:
red raspberries and black raspberries. Purple raspberries are a cross between
red and black, and the yellow ones (not so common) are a genetic mutation of
the red raspberries.
Raspberries have been mentioned in many historic
histories, like in Greek Mythology: according to the ancient Greeks the berries
used to be white, but when Zeus’s nursemaid, Ida, pricked her finger on a thorn
it stained the berries, turning them red. The name “raspberry” means literally
“bramble bush of Ida” named after the nursemaid.
Raspberries grow mostly in cold weathers but they also
grow in tropical regions.
If we talk about health, raspberries are perfect to
improve management of obesity. According to scientists, the metabolism in our
fat cells can be increased by phytonutrients, which can be found in
raspberries.
Now, you know the history of raspberries! If you want

Love always
